Look and Feel Younger with these Great Smoothie Ingredients

Everyone loves starting his or her day off with a clean, fresh smoothie. By blending fresh fruits and veggies, you can have a healthy, nutrient-rich breakfast that fills you up too. Luckily, many of your favourite produce choices are great for anti-aging and there’s no better way to make sure that you’re getting your daily fix of rejuvenating vitamins than by incorporating them into your morning smoothie!

Kale

This leafy green is known as one of the best superfoods since it’s packed full of nutrients (and tastes great too!). Toss some kale into any smoothie for a burst of vitamin K, which will regulate your blood flow and prevent internal hemorrhaging. Kale also works to strengthen your bones as you age, and reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

Berries

Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cranberries – not only are these bad boys a sweet treat, but they are full of vitamin C and antioxidants like flavonols and anthocyanins. Vitamin C is perfect for repairing damaged cells, and antioxidants can strengthen the health of your cells and protect against the onset of disease. Darker berries tend to have higher concentrations of antioxidants, so opt for some blackberries or blueberries to inject the maximum health benefit into your smoothie. Blueberries are particularly nutrient rich and can improve memory and reduce inflammation.

Avocado

This is another superfood which can take your breakfast to another level. Avocados are known for being packed with all sorts of healthy goodness like vitamin E, potassium, and antioxidants. Their nutritional properties can work to reduce cholesterol, improve skin, and lower blood pressure. In addition to their anti-aging benefits, avocados have also been shown to prevent heart attacks and reduce the possibility of osteoporosis.
